On Monday, November 29, 2010, the Lord blessed Jessica and me with the birth of our first child: Noah Paul Sherrod. He measured 7.8 pounds and 21.25 inches. We are delighted to have finally met the little guy after waiting for his arrival all year. I’m so excited to be his daddy!

The first couple of weeks have been challenging. Learning the ropes of parenting a newborn is a daunting task, but we’ve had tremendous support from family and friends. Sleep is erratic, but we’re slowly learning how to take care of our son.

Despite the rough edges, I am amazed at the miracle that is birth. The Lord created this beautiful little boy that is part Jessica and part me. I’m just happy to be along for the ride.
